PERMANENT BROWS
Pre-Care & Aftercare Instructions

WHAT TO EXPECT
Permanent makeup is a multi-step process, and achieving beautiful, long-lasting results often requires more than one appointment. Most brow procedures, including Microblading, Nano Brows, Combination Brows, and Ombré Powder Brows, require a perfecting touch-up approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the initial appointment. Clients with oily skin may require additional touch-ups to achieve their desired results.

We offer a variety of brow enhancement techniques to suit different skin types, lifestyles, and aesthetic preferences, including Microblading, Nano Brows, Combination Brows, and Ombré Powder Brows. During your consultation, we will discuss the best option for your unique features, desired look, maintenance preferences, and skin type.

To ensure your comfort, a topical numbing agent is applied before and throughout the procedure as needed. While most clients experience minimal discomfort, sensitivity levels vary from person to person. Some redness, tenderness, or swelling may occur immediately following treatment and is a normal part of the healing process.

AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Aftercare is designed to get the most out of your beauty treatment and keep you safe!
Important Note:
Everyone’s healing time is different: Some people’s brows may scab quickly and fall off quickly and some may take a bit longer. Don’t worry if it’s taking more time. And if you have patchy spots or if your newly tattooed brows have disappeared, this is totally normal.
When you return home from the procedure, gently wash off all the lymph fluid with distilled water (lymph fluid is the clear liquid that comes out from the skin). The amount of lymph fluid varies for different people. Blotting and washing for some people, may be required more than once.
Be gentle while washing your brows. Do not use any facical soap on your brows.
Do not spray water directly onto your brow, just cup your hands and gently splash the water onto your brows.
Let your brows AIR DRY COMPLETELY after each wash.
Put a small amount of ointment on a clean q-tip and gently apply a thin layer across the brows. This helps the healing process and minimizes itchiness.
Repeat this step until your brows are fully healed.
For oily skin types: Apply aftercare ointment from the 5th day onward, unless your brows begin to itch, then start on the day they start to itch.
DO Use fresh pillow cases
DO NOT wear makeup over the brow area
DO NOT use any products with glycolic acids, Retin-A, exfoliants or anti-aging properties at ANY TIME on your brow area (not just during healing). These products can cause pigment to fade and lighten prematurely.
DO NOT scratch pick or peel your brows. Let them heal naturally. Even if a scab is hanging, let it fall off on its own!.
AVOID exposure to sunlight for 30 days. It’s time to wear a nice hat.
AVOID heavy sweating activities or workouts for one week.
LEAVE the makeup OFF your brows including sunblock for 1-10 days (time varies from person to person)
NO FACIALS or Botox for 4 weeks after the procedure.
AVOID any other beauty procedures near the treated area; including, laser treatment, waxing, tinting or chemical exfoliants
DO NOT take long showers and avoid direct streams of water to your face for 10 days. Wash your hair at the end of the shower.
AVOID excessive moisture; no steam rooms, no hot tubs, no swimming pools, no saunas, lakes, rivers or lagoons until your brows are fully heal.
AVOID sleeping on your face. Please note: Sometimes when you sleep, you may accidentally scratch the brows because it’s itchy.
AVOID scratching your brows.
NO Alcoholic beverages for 3 days.
Pigment will slowly fade over time depending on:
One’s skin type. (Oily skin – hair strokes will both fade and blur over time.)
Sun exposure
Metabolism
Certain medication (Acne medications and cream such as Glycolic acids, Retin-A, exfoliants or anti-aging)
Facial surgery
Smoking
Frequent exercise – the salt in sweat will cause the pigment to purge from the skin
Youth – simply put, the younger/healthier you are, the faster your cells turn over
Anti-aging skincare products
Lighter pigment – blondes fade faster than brunettes
Schedule maintenance visits as needed to keep your brows looking fresh. Periodic touch-ups will ensure longer lasting results.

EYELINER TATTOOS
Pre-Care & Aftercare Instructions

PRE-CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Please read our care instructions carefully before booking your appointments! Not adhering to our care instructions can impact your healed results.
It is recommended to eat something before your appointment to make sure your blood sugar levels stay stable during the procedure.
No excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption 24 hours before your procedure. Alcohol and caffeine can thin the blood, which causes the skin to be hypersensitive, and bleed/bruise more easily.
Avoid sun tanning one week prior to the procedure.
Avoid blood thinning medications for 24 hours before the procedure. This includes Aspirin, Niacin (Vitamin B3), Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen, fish oils tablets. Please consult your physician if this is an issue.
Eyelash extensions should be removed 3 days prior to the procedure
Discontinue Retin-A one week prior to the procedure
No Botox around the eye area 2 weeks prior.
Eyelash growth serums like Latisse bring extra circulation to the lash line area which results in more growth of hair/lashes. This can cause the skin to be hypersensitive and bleed easily. It is recommended to discontinue the use of these products at least 3~6 months before your treatment.
Do not wear any eye makeup on the day of your appointment.
If you wear contact lenses, please wear glasses on the day of your appointment.
Please Note: You will be more sensitive during your menstrual cycle.
AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
Splash your eyes with water and wash off any pigment residue immediately after the procedure. Pat dry gently with a clean tissue.
Wash the skin around the eyes twice day (morning & night) using a gentle, unscented soap (Cetaphil or baby shampoo). Use your fingertips to cleanse gently and pat dry with a clean tissue.
Apply ointment 2-3 times a day for up to 7 days for thick eyeliner (OMIT FOR LASH LINE ENHANCEMENT)
Scabs will take about 7-10 days to peel off. Do not pick at the scabs or peel them off prematurely.
Swelling and redness is normal for the first few days.
The color will fade approximately 30-50% lighter when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal. Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.
To achieve the perfect eyeliner, we need to see how your skin accepts the initial application and a touch-up appointment is where we will perfect the shape and color.
No eye makeup is allowed until the scabs completely fall off.
Avoid sweaty exercise such as hot saunas, hot yoga, and swimming
The eyeliner will start to form scabs and they might look dark and thick. As the skin heals, the scabs will fall off in random pieces and might look patchy.
Flaking and crusting on the tattoo area may occur.
Avoid pulling off the scabs that are dried on the lashes.
When you try to pull off the scabs that are hanging on your lashes, ensure the scabs are soft enough to slide off from the lashes. Use a mascara brush to help remove the scabs.
Swelling occurs up to 3 days after the procedure, especially in the morning.
Exercising the eyes can help reduce swelling and puffiness. Try blinking actively for 2 minutes in the morning.
To relieve swelling, you can ice the area with soft gel ice packs.
